This 3 month supply of Miyabi Bamboo Charcoal is a plastic-free solution for better tasting tap water. Japanese people have been using activated charcoal for water filtration for centuries. It is a scientific fact that bamboo charcoal removes chlorine, chloride, phosphorus, ammonia, toluene (alcohol), nitrogen, chloramine, and even toxins like pesticides that are present in tap water. Not only does it remove impurities, but bamboo charcoal has an alkalizing effect and adds beneficial minerals like magnesium, potassium, and calcium into your water.
Impact
A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute. Save money and reduce the demand for plastic bottles by switching to a reusable bottle. If you spend $1 on a 16.9 oz. bottle of water, you’re effectively paying $7.57 per gallon – 3,785 times more than you’d pay for the same amount of water from the faucet.
Use
Before first use: rinse, place in boiling water for five minutes, and allow to dry – preferably in the sun. 3 pieces per liter of water will last for 4 weeks to ensure maximum absorption. Boil them to reactivate.
End of Life
Once water filters have exhausted, there are many ways to continue using the expired pieces: keep produce fresh by placing them in your fridge, reduce EMF radiation by placing them around electronics, or improve air quality by placing them in areas of the house. If ready to discard, they can be composted.
